ABOUT FDAANC

Bylaws of the Fudan University Alumni Association of Northern California (FDAANC)

1. The Fudan University Alumni Association of Northern California (FDAANC) is an independent non-profit organization. FDAANC shall not engage in any political activities.
2. Members of the association shall have the following qualification:

• Have studied or worked at Fudan University, Shanghai, China.
• Reside in northern California currently.

1. The missions of the association are

• Promote friendship, networking and mutual benefit among association members.
• Provide assistance to members in need.
• Facilitate information exchange between members and Fudan University.

1. The association is managed by a board of directors. A member’s annual meeting shall elect the the board of directors. The board consists of seven (7) members. Each board member shall serve a term of two years.
2. The responsibilities of the board are:

• Open and maintain an association WEB page on the internet.
• Edit and maintain a membership roster.
• Plan and organize association activities. The board shall at least organize one social activity annually.
• Coordinate communication with other Fudan alumni around the world.

1. The board of directors shall select the chairperson of the board according to the results of the annual election meeting. The chairperson’s term is two years and one can serve no more than two terms. The chairperson shall coordinate, supervise and operate the business of the board.
2. Each member shall pay a $10 annual membership fee. If there are more than two members in one family, the second and the following membership is free.
3. Membership fee and other fundraising income or donations provide the operation budget of the association. The board of directors shall have the authority over the budget. The board shall provide regular financial statement to members.
